nomadiclens is an online portfolio of a Bay Area photographer. It is a visual narrative and a discourse.

The collection portrays life through the lens in a crescendo of colors and images, shapes and shadows, offering a luminous insight into everyday life.

The rust on metal pipes, splintered wooden surfaces, the peeling paint of graffiti make up much of the palette. Movement, lines, color, and texture characterize the images. The commonplace takes center stage and is rendered beautiful.

Reality transforms into abstraction. Narrow lanes taper off into uncharted territory, walls ring with voices of dissent, doorways have eyes that look into your soul, pictures of pictures tell a story within a story. The city rends its unrestrained, crowded horizon to reveal its obscure heart in minute details of the ordinary urban façade.

In the process, the camera liberates the viewer by reinventing the angle of vision.
